Education and Professional Development
Receive the member rate to the WISAM Annual Conference, where you will learn the timely and relevant updates from experts in the field of addiction medicine, and network with colleagues in an interactive meeting format.
Participate in a complimentary Buprenorphine X-Waiver Training course offered by WISAM through a partnership with Wisconsin DHS. These courses are made possible through a Center for Disease Control (CDC) Public Health Crisis Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) grant.
Participate in online webinars offered periodically to provide the most up to date information on topics and issues faced by addiction medicine professionals in Wisconsin.
Volunteer for WISAM leadership opportunities by participating on a committee or the Board of Directors, or at the annual conference where you can help moderate a session and network with your peers.
Advocacy & Communications
Stay informed through WISAM’s monthly e-news, covering education and activity updates as well as legislative and advocacy news. Members are welcome to submit articles for the monthly e-news on topics they wish to share.
Participate in a monthly call, moderated by the current WISAM President or other Board Member. These calls are open to any professional practicing addiction medicine in Wisconsin and serve as an opportunity for casual dialogue on topics of interest to participants.
Learn quickly when legislation is being introduced or other measures taken that require timely attention by WISAM members. Action alerts are sent as needed with instructions on how members can help.
